Features of the IVR (Interactive Voice Response) system
The Connection Dental Network has automated features to make verifying your provider information quick and easy. You access the following through our IVR system after following the requested phone prompts:
• Fee schedule fax back
• Location effective date
• Initial application status
The IVR system is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call 800.505.8880 and follow the provider validation prompt
VPoint™
VPoint is designed to provide NCQA (National Committee for Quality Assurance)-compliant and URAC (Utilization Review Accreditation Commission)-compliant credentialing and recredentialing services along with continuous monitoring. VPoint’s diligent credential verification process effectively ensures provider compliance, client protection and quality of patient care, all while keeping pace with ongoing changes in technology and the health care industry. We look forward to continuing our partnership with VPoint as we utilize them as our CVO (Credentialing Verification Organization).
Where to locate our latest GEHA Connection Dental Network Payor List
The GEHA Connection Dental Network Payor List is updated monthly with payors that have joined and left the network. It is best practice to review the payor list monthly. To view the Connection Dental Network Payor List, go to the Resources section of the Resource Center at connectiondental.com. It is crucial to verify benefits and eligibility with the Payor. By contacting the Payor, a provider can identify which network fee schedule is being utilized for claim reimbursement and verify participation status with the plan. If you have any questions, you can call 800.505.8880, option 3.
Medicare Advantage Payor announcement
Did you know that some GEHA Connection Dental Network payors offer Medicare Advantage plans in addition to commercial plans? Please contact the payor directly for benefits and confirm participation through your Connection Dental Fee Schedule.
Since these plans follow Medicare/Medicare Advantage guidelines, you will need to comply with related requests sent by GEHA Connection Dental Network, including annual fraud, waste and abuse training and quarterly directory updates. Both tasks can be completed at connectiondental.com within the Provider Portal. You will receive a prompt to complete your training when required.

Did you know? On connectiondental.com there are other features available besides completing compliance requirements? You can access your fee schedule, manage your participating locations by adding or terming a location, update your provider information including any languages spoken or office hours for your location and more. This helps ensure our directory is current when a member is searching for a provider. Visit connectiondental.com to log in or register your account today.

2024 new benefits for GEHA members
We added the following procedure codes:
D2929 Prefabricated porcelain/ceramic crown-primary tooth, it is limited to one per patient, per tooth, per lifetime for covered persons under 15 years of age.
D9230 Inhalations of nitrous oxide/ analgesia, anxiolysis has been expanded to members of all ages when medically and dentally necessary and performed with covered services.
2024 Connection Dental fee schedule
The 2024 Connection Dental Fee Schedules are now available. You can access your fee schedule via the IVR system, by logging into your connectiondental.com provider portal or by calling 800.505.8880 option 3 and requesting a fax back or email from one of our representatives.
2024 CDT code changes
GEHA Connection Dental Network added the following CDT codes to our fee schedules

Please begin using the 2024 CDT codes on claims for treatment provided on and after January 1, 2024. You can go to the 2024 American Dental Association CDT Manual to view the updated procedure codes.
Dominion National
We are pleased to announce Dominion National has contracted with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC). Dominion National will offer a new dental provider network for Medicare Advantage members covered under Blue KC. This new network will be effective January 1, 2024, and is a strategic step in ensuring our Medicare Advantage(MA) members receive the same great dental care as Blue KC’s other customers.
Your practice may already service Dominion National’s Commercial and Pediatric members today. We anticipate tremendous growth as we add Blue KC’s Medicare Advantage membership effective 1/1/2024.

Pacific Life via UHC
We would like to welcome Pacific Life who will join the list of payors in the GEHA Connection Dental Network through an agreement with Dental Benefit Providers, Inc., effective 1/1/2024. The GEHA Connection Dental Network list can be located at www.connectiondental.com under the Resource Center/Connection Dental Network Payor List tab.
Pacific Life provides access to members to our nationwide network. No action is required by your office at this time.

Dental Network of America
Effective November 1, 2023, Dental Network of America, LLC’s Medicare Advantage enrollees have access to the GEHA Connection Dental Network. This network supports Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement Plans for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
It is crucial to verify benefits and eligibility with the Payor.
