A recent study in Dentistry Journal compared two techniques

Thursday, March 14, 2024 | Posted in GEHA Connection Dental Network News

A recent study in Dentistry Journal compared two techniques, the paralleling technique and bisecting angle technique, to identify the best approach to use for different purposes.

Researchers looked at 26 dental studies published between 1976 and 2021. Most studies recommended using the paralleling technique for general, endodontics, implantology and other indications. The bisecting angle technique worked best for patients with a low palatial height. Using the ideal radiographic technique for the patient and the procedure may improve quality care through accuracy in diagnosis and treatment of dental diseases.
