2025 CDT Code Changes

Effective January 1, 2025, GEHA Connection Dental Network made the following CDT updates to our fee schedules:

Please begin using the 2025 CDT codes on claims for treatment provided on and after January 1, 2025.

ADDED CDT CODES INCLUDE: D6089, D6180, D6193 and D7252
DELETED CDT CODES INCLUDE: D6095

Please be sure to go to the 2025 American Dental Association CDT Manual for updated procedure codes.

New ADA Dental Claim Form Required by UHC

The American Dental Association (ADA) updated the dental claim form in 2024. UnitedHealthcare (UHC) is now requiring all providers to use the updated form. Please ensure you are using the new ADA dental claim form for all submissions to UHC.

Change in Illinois Law

2023 Illinois House Bill No. 5395 was adopted in July of this year, with an effective date of January 1, 2025.

One of the revisions involved network transparency/ adequacy. As a result, the network will be reaching out to Illinois providers every 90 days to verify directory information, including several questions concerning teledentistry care. This bill also requires providers to notify the network electronically or in writing within 10 business days of any changes to their provider directory information.

To do this, providers can call GEHA Connection Dental at 800.505.8880, Option 4, email CDNstateverification@geha.com or fax the information to 816.257.3238.
