New features added to the IVR (Interactive Voice Response) system

We have added new automated features to make verifying your provider information quick and easy. You can now access the following through our IVR system, after following the requested phone prompts:

  • Fee schedule fax back
  • Location effective date
  • Initial application status
  • Post-call provider satisfaction survey

The IVR system is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by calling 800.505.8880 and following the provider validation prompt.

Did you know that some GEHA Connection Dental Network payors offer Medicare Advantage plans in addition to commercial plans?
Please contact the payor directly for benefits.

Complete your fraud, waste and abuse training by December 31, 2022

Medicare Advantage dentists need to complete the annual General Compliance and Fraud, Waste and Abuse training by December 31, 2022. Because these plans follow Medicare/Medicare Advantage guidelines, dentists may also need to comply with the related requests sent by GEHA Connection Dental Network. All tasks can be completed within the Provider Portal at connectiondental.com. Once you’ve logged into the portal, you will receive a prompt to complete your required training.

VerifPoint is now VPoint

You may see a new name on the website and portal. Effective Aug 1, 2022, VerifPoint™ changed its name to VPoint™. While the name is new, services will remain the same. VPoint continues to provide NCQA-compliant and URAC-compliant credentialing and recredentialing services along with continuous monitoring. VPoint’s diligent credential verification process effectively ensures provider compliance, client protection, and quality of patient care while keeping pace with ongoing changes in technology and the healthcare industry.

New Mexico is the latest state to require Directory Updates

GEHA Connection Dental Network has policies and procedures in place to ensure we have the most current directory information, as required by state laws, available for enrollees. Currently, 14 states require directory updates. They are:

  • California
  • Colorado
  • Connecticut
  • Georgia
  • Hawaii
  • Louisiana
  • Maine
  • Maryland
  • North Carolina
  • New Hampshire
  • New Jersey
  • New Mexico
  • Ohio
  • West Virginia

We need your help to keep your information up-to-date. Giving patients accurate information will ensure they are able to locate participating providers. In addition, completing directory updates in a timely manner helps payors identify the correct claim payment mailing address. Epic Life Insurance no longer a GEHA Connection Dental Network payor

Epic Life Insurance terminated their participation with GEHA Connection Dental Network, effective October 1, 2022. Services rendered on or after this date will not be processed through the GEHA Connection Dental Network.
